Bumrah shared a video showcasing glimpses of his practice session, with the song ‘I’m Coming Home’ by pop act Diddy-Dirty Money playing in the background.
Bumrah’s video comes at a significant time, as the newly appointed BCCI chairman of selectors, Ajit Agarkar, is set to meet with Team India coach Rahul Dravid and skipper Rohit Sharma. Among the important matters of discussion will be Bumrah’s fitness level and his potential return to the squad. The discussions will also encompass the possibility of including Bumrah in the Team India squad for the Ireland T20 series.
Bumrah has been absent from competitive cricket ever since his brief comeback during a T20I series against Australia at home last year. Moreover, he was unable to participate in the previous editions of the Asia Cup and the T20 World Cup held in Australia.

According to a report from news agency PTI, Bumrah has begun his training at the NCA and is expected to play some practice matches. “For an injury of this nature, it is not wise to set any timeline as constant monitoring is necessary. However, it can be said that Bumrah is recovering well, and he has bowled seven overs at NCA nets. His workload has steadily increased from the initial light workouts and bowling sessions. Next month, he will be playing a few practice matches at NCA, and a close assessment of his fitness will be made then,” a PTI source stated.
