Jharkhand Board 10th Result 2024 Declared: The Jharkhand Academic Council, Ranchi today declared the Class 10 results at their official websites. Students who appeared for the exams can check their results at the following websites – jacresults.com.
This year, the overall pass percentage has been recorded at 90.39% which is lower than the previous year’s 95.38 per cent. Announcing the results, School Education and Literacy Department Secretary Uma Shankar Singh said, “There are several issues behind the decline in pass percentage. This time, the examination was not taken on OMR sheets and the number of objective-type questions was less. The important thing is that the number of students passing in the first division has increased this year,” Singh said.
A total of 2,05,110 students passed in the first division, 1,53,733 in the second division and 19,555 in the third division, according to the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC).
This year, too, girls have outperformed boys scoring 91%, while boys scored 89.7%. Girls dominate the top three positions and incidentally, they are from Indira Gandhi Girls High School, Hazaribagh. Jyotsna Jyoti scored 99.2%, the second topper is Sana Sanjori with 98.6%, and the third ranker is Karishma Kumari and Srishti Saumya with 98.4%.
As per the data released by the JAC, a total of 4,21,678 students registered and 4,18,623 students appeared for the matric exams. Of these, 3,78,398 students have cleared the class 10 exams.
Singh said East Singhbhum, Hazaribag and Giridih were the top three districts in terms of pass percentage, while Deoghar was at the bottom.
“The department will soon launch a scheme for districts that did not perform well. A detailed study of schools will be done and steps will be taken to improve the results,” he said.
After the elections, the government will organise a programme to honour the state toppers of JAC, CBSE and ICSE, he added.
Last year, a total of 427,294 students appeared, of which 407559 passed. In 2022 Class 10, 3,73,893 students (91.19 per cent) cleared the exams, out of which 2,25,845 secured the first division, 1,24,000 got second division and 23,524 had a third division.
