Krafton Introduces Road to Valor: Empires in India for Android and iOS Users

PUBG publisher Krafton has launched its latest mobile game in India. Road to Valor: Empires, now available for download on Android and iOS, is an innovative real-time PvP strategy game where players build armies of mythical guardians and troops to engage in epic battles across villages and terrains, all from a top-down perspective. This game is the successor to Dreamotion’s Road to Valor: World War II and has already received an impressive 2.5 lakh pre-registrations since its opening on February 23. RTV: Empires has undergone Indian localization, with the addition of complete Hindi language support and region-specific content.

In this version of Road to Valor: Empires, players have the ability to create custom multiplayer rooms, spectate games, and compete with others online. Krafton’s press release mentions that support for other Indian languages will be implemented soon and that the game offers a starter pack with rewards starting at Rs. 29. Similar to Clash Royale, players must devise strategies to lead their troops in dismantling all three of their opponent’s towers. From launching arrows and slinging boulders to deploying shielded soldiers to combat enemy hordes, the game offers a range of tactics to explore. Additionally, the presence of a leveling system suggests a potential influence on online matchmaking, although the specifics remain unclear. Players can choose from various characters from different mythologies, including Greek Athena and Asgardian ruler Odin, just to name a couple. Krafton also promises regular post-launch content for Road to Valor: Empires, such as new characters, civilizations, in-game events, and even esports tournaments.

Beyond PUBG: Krafton Dreams of Ascending the World Stage

“We are thrilled to announce the launch of Road to Valor: Empires, our latest game designed exclusively for the Indian market. With locally relevant content and regular updates, we aim to deliver an immersive gaming experience that resonates with the diverse cultures and preferences of Indian gamers,” stated Sean Hyunil Sohn, CEO of Krafton India, in a press release. “Road to Valor: Empires reflects Krafton’s unwavering commitment to providing high-quality and captivating gaming experiences to the Indian market. We hope our users enjoy the game as much as we enjoyed creating it, as they embark on a journey into the world of mythological characters and historical civilizations.”

Krafton’s most recent major release was The Callisto Protocol in December, which received mixed feedback. The PC version particularly faced criticism due to performance issues and optimization problems. Striking Distance Studios, the developer, has just released the Contagion Bundle DLC for the game. This DLC introduces 14 new death animations for protagonist Jacob Lee, a Watchtower skin collection, and a ‘Contagion Mode’ that enhances the power of the bloodthirsty biophages, restricts resources, and resets chapter progress upon each death. The DLC can be purchased as an add-on to the main game or included in the Season Pass.

Road to Valor: Empires is now available for free download on Android and iOS.
