In an interview with Humans of Bombay, Maniesh recalled a moment when Akshay shouted at him during a show, causing him great embarrassment as his mother was present. However, Maniesh’s quick wit and humorous response turned the situation around, earning praise from the Khiladi himself.
Before achieving fame on the small screen with shows like Ghost Bana Dost, Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi, Zindadil, Ssshhhh…Phir Koi Hai, and Kahani Shuru with Love Guru, Maniesh faced challenges in carving out a niche for himself. During his interview, he candidly shared the incident involving Akshay Kumar.
The incident occurred when Maniesh asked Akshay to deliver a dialogue during a show at the beginning of his career. In response, Akshay sternly told him to shut up, leaving Maniesh sweating and feeling humiliated in front of his mother. Determined not to let the embarrassing moment pass, Maniesh followed Akshay to his seat, disregarding the director’s instructions. There, he confronted Akshay about the insult and playfully mentioned that he was only seeking acting tips. The conversation took a humorous turn, leading to laughter from everyone present.
Maniesh claimed that at the end of their exchange, Akshay congratulated him for his quick wit and admitted to having fun with Maniesh’s response.
