Former South Sydney star Sam Burgess has secured his first head coaching role in professional rugby league.
Burgess, a 34-year-old Englishman, has been appointed as the new head coach of the Warrington Wolves in the Super League.
He gained fame when he played through the 2014 NRL grand final, despite fracturing his cheekbone in the first tackle of the game, and led the Rabbitohs to victory.

Before relocating to Australia and joining the Rabbitohs, Burgess began his career with Bradford in the Super League and established himself as an iconic player for the team.
