The exact details of the phone have not been confirmed, but recently leaked images provide insight into the design of the upcoming JioPhone 5G. A tipster on Twitter shared hands-on images of the alleged handset, revealing a dual rear camera setup and a black color variant. The tipster also hinted at a release timeline and shared key specifications for the smartphone. A Twitter user (@ArpitNahiMila) has shared live images of the rumored JioPhone 5G, showcasing both the front and back design of the phone. According to the user, the dual rear camera module is positioned at the top center of the device, likely featuring a 13-megapixel AI camera and a 2-megapixel secondary lens.
The front of the phone sports a waterdrop-style notch that houses the front camera, which is speculated to be a 5-megapixel shooter. The back of the phone is reportedly made of fiber plastic, and the Jio logo can be seen on the back of the device.

According to the tweet, the JioPhone 5G is expected to release between Diwali and New Year, with an anticipated price below Rs. 10,000. The tipster also suggests that the phone could be powered by either a Unisoc 5G or a Dimensity 700 processor.
Although we cannot verify the authenticity of these images, a previous report suggested that the JioPhone 5G might be equipped with a Snapdragon 480 SoC, 4GB of RAM, and 32GB of onboard storage.
The 5G phone is rumored to feature a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and is expected to run on Android 12 out-of-the-box. The JioPhone is likely to have a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W charging.
Last year, a CounterPoint Research report estimated that the upcoming smartphone could be priced between Rs. 8,000 and Rs. 12,000. It is expected to come pre-loaded with Google Mobile Services and Jio apps, as Reliance has confirmed its partnership with Google to launch an affordable 5G smartphone.
