Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Series: Unveiling Specs, Colors, and an Unexpected Fifth Variant
If you believed you had all the knowledge regarding Samsung’s upcoming devices set to be unveiled at the highly anticipated Unpacked event next month, think again. Today, two Twitter tipsters have revealed a wealth of new information about Samsung’s next-gen Galaxy Tab S9 lineup. While nothing is confirmed at this point, it’s highly likely that the rumored details will come to fruition.

Five colors, five tablets, two possible launch dates

The high-end Galaxy Tab S9, Tab S9+, and Tab S9 Ultra are expected to be officially announced at a Unpacked event in Seoul sometime in late July. Additionally, there will be a mid-range Tab S9 FE and a surprising Tab S9 FE+ variant, which was completely unexpected.

The Tab S9, S9 Plus, and S9 Ultra will be available in gray and beige options, with no other colors to choose from. The Tab S8 and Tab S8+ come in graphite, silver, and pink gold, while the Tab S8 Ultra is only available in graphite (dark gray).

These are the expected Tab S9 family upgrades

This Twitter leaker has been somewhat accurate with Samsung-related information in the past, although not as reliable as Ross Young.

The Galaxy Tab S9 is expected to be a significant upgrade over its predecessor, featuring a Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, on-screen fingerprint sensor, and an 8,400mAh battery, among other improvements. The entire ultra-high-end Android tablet trio is rumored to have IP68 water and dust resistance, enhanced quad speaker sound quality by 25 percent, and a new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.

When it comes to camera capabilities, the Tab S9 is rumored to remove the secondary 6MP rear shooter present in its predecessor. The Tab S9+ and Tab S9 Ultra may upgrade to an 8-megapixel secondary rear camera while keeping the rest of their features intact. The battery sizes of the Tab S9 Plus and S9 Ultra are expected to remain the same as the Tab S8 Plus and S8 Ultra, which may seem underwhelming.

Regardless, we can expect three remarkable new contenders for the title of the best Android tablet when they are released in just over a month, even if some specifications and features are similar to their predecessors.
