Emily Blunt, the star of the 2014 sci-fi action film Edge of Tomorrow, has given fans hope for a sequel. Blunt suggests that if the right story comes along, a follow-up film could still become a reality.

The 2014 sci-fi action film Edge of Tomorrow (also known as Live Die Repeat: Edge of Tomorrow) was a fun genre thrill ride nearly a decade ago, and even after all these years, it still has a dedicated cult following. Fans of the film believe that it deserves a sequel with more high-stakes action. So, where does the cast stand on this?

Well, according to Emily Blunt, there is still hope for another Edge of Tomorrow adventure in the future. In a recent interview with Deadline, Blunt expressed her desire for a second installment, saying, “Well, I would love to do another one. I don’t know when and I don’t know how, but I would love it. I don’t know if my back could take it. In the funniest, most charming way in the world because [Tom Cruise] was such a gem to me. But I think we just knew I just had to toughen up and get through it. Because otherwise, you would spend the entire film fighting against the fact that you wished your suit was lighter, but it wasn’t.”

Blunt is enthusiastic about the potential challenges of a sequel, stating, “But I loved the experience so much, and I would love to work with [Doug Liman] again. It’s like we have to create something as ambitious as the first one. How much more mileage can we get out of a repeating day? What’s the new construct?”

Now that Emily Blunt is open to the idea of revisiting the cult classic Edge of Tomorrow for a sequel, it raises the question of whether it’s worth exploring. What do you think? Share your thoughts below.
