Suggestion from Diablo 4 Developers: Take a Break, Connect with Nature Between Seasons

With its captivating gameplay loop and meticulously designed loot system, Diablo IV has undoubtedly won over the hearts of players. However, the developers have a suggestion for those who have exhausted all the game’s content: explore other gaming options.

During a livestream promoting Diablo IV’s upcoming seasonal update, Season of the Malignant, Associate Game Director Joseph Piepiora shared some valuable advice. He emphasized the importance of taking a break once players have achieved their goals and completed what they consider to be significant. Piepiora also revealed that the development team follows the same approach in order to fully appreciate the game. He suggested that the launch of a new season is an opportune time to catch up on any missed aspects of the game.

Now Playing: Diablo IV | Season of the Malignant | Announce Trailer

Diablo IV has received positive reviews from both critics and fans. However, not all feedback has been favorable. Some players were taken aback by Blizzard’s decision to require new character creation for each season. Rod Fergusson, the series’ general manager, defended this rule, emphasizing the developers’ intention to provide a fresh start for everyone and ensure that players have a shared starting point, regardless of their total playtime.
