The creators have finally released the highly anticipated series “Taali” starring Sushmita Sen. The trailer sheds light on the daring transformation of transgender activist Shreegauri Sawant, her journey towards motherhood, and the battle that led to the recognition of the third gender in India’s official documents. The trailer opens with an intense voice-over from Shreegauri Sawant herself, as she recounts her journey from Ganesh to Gauri. Upon sharing the trailer, Sushmita Sen wrote, “Gauri has arrived, bringing her story of self-respect, honor, and freedom. Taali – We won’t applaud, we will make others applaud.
