With the highly anticipated return of the FX series on July 13th, we are excited to share with you the official trailer and key art for Season 5 of What We Do in the Shadows.
Get ready for another hilarious and thrilling season as Nandor (played by Kayvan Novak), Nadja (played by Natasia Demetriou), Laszlo (played by Matt Berry), Colin (played by Mark Proksch), The Guide (played by Kristen Schaal), and the newest vampire Guillermo (played by Harvey Guillén) return to the small screen. However, there seems to be something amiss with Guillermo in the official trailer. While he was bitten, it appears that he may not be transforming into a vampire as expected…

Harvey Guillén Talks Guillermo & Season 5 of What We Do in the Shadows
Cover star of EW’s 2023 Pride Issue, Harvey Guillén, provides insight into what fans can expect from Guillermo and the upcoming fifth season. According to Guillén, Season 5 picks up right where Season 4 left off, with Guillermo determined to fast-track his vampire transformation by any means necessary. As Guillén describes it, “We’re done waiting. The clock is ticking.”
Guillén emphasizes the importance of seizing opportunities and living life to the fullest. He explains, “Why wait? Start living your life now. Shut off that voice that tells you to wait and breathe.”
What We Do in the Shadows, created by Jemaine Clement and produced by FX Productions, features an exceptional cast including Kayvan Novak as Nandor, Natasia Demetriou as Nadja, Matt Berry as Laszlo, Mark Proksch as Colin Robinson, Harvey Guillén as Guillermo, and Kristen Schaal as The Guide. Season 5 welcomes guest stars Anoop Desai (American Idol) and Parisa Fakhri (SEAL Team) to the series. Clement, Waititi, and Paul Simms serve as executive producers alongside Scott Rudin, Garrett Basch, Eli Bush, and Stefani Robinson.
