This New ‘Boring’ Flip Phone Is Meant To Keep You Away From The Internet But You Can’t Buy It

Smartphones have taken over our lives and the same companies making these phones now feel guilty for changing us and want to bring the boring days back in our lives. HMD Global and worked with Heineken and Bodega to launch a unique flip phone that does not let you access the internet, which means no WhatsApp, no YouTube, just enjoy talking to your friends in the traditional way or play the Snake game.

It is called the boring phone for a reason but still promises to keep you engaged with the old, in the old-fashioned calling way and not video calls or chats.

Boring Phone – Flip Phone With A Twist

The first look of the Boring Phone reminds you of the transparent Nothing Phone design, except, this phone has a translucent finish, showing the internals. The device weighs 123 grams, has dual screens and supports 4G for making calls, not for browsing the internet or using apps.

It features a 2.8-inch main screen inside and a 1.77-inch outer display to get the call and message alerts. It does have a 0.3 MP camera with flash but you can’t share them with anyone. The storage maxes out at 32GB and you can enjoy the radio using the wired earphones.

The biggest catch about the Boring Phone, apart from its flashy design, is that HMD and its partners won’t be selling the phone anywhere. Yes, you heard that right. The company is making 5000 units of the phone that will be part of a giveaway in the UK and a few more markets.
