Uber Cup 2024, India vs China, Group A Live Score and Updates:  A young Indian squad went down 0-5 againt powerhouses China in a Group A clash at the Uber Cup Finals in Chengdu on Tuesday. Both India and China have qualified for finals after defeating Canada and Singapore in their last two matches. China top the group, India finish second and the draw of the quarterfinals will be done once all the group stage fixtures are done.

India were without their most experienced player as Ashmita Chaliha was not named in the lineup. It was Isharani Baruah’s task to take on Chen Yu Fei in the first singles tie and she lost 12-21 10-21. Priya Konjengbam – Shruti Mishra went down against world No 1 and four-time world champions Chen Qing Chen and Jia Yi Fan. There was heartbreak for Anmol Kharb as she retired hurt against Han Yue, rolling her ankle. In the final match, 15-year-old Tanvi Sharma played some really good stuff in the second game against Asian Champion Wang Zhi Yi but lost 7-21 16-21.

As has been the trend since February, young Anmol Kharb put the calm, finishing touches to a 4-1 win over Singapore, after she beat World No 207 Lee Xin Yi Megan.
