Why Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are not included in India’s playing XI for 2nd ODI against West Indies

As Team India prepares for its second ODI against West Indies, key players like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have been left out of the playing XI. Hardik Pandya, taking charge of the team, expressed confidence in the team’s strengths. When asked about Kohli and Sharma’s absence, Pandya explained that the senior players are taking a break from this match to rest and stay fresh for the third ODI.

“We were looking to bat first. We want to see how many runs we can score on this pitch, which is a bit unpredictable. Kohli and Sharma have been playing non-stop cricket, so they are resting for this match. It will help them stay fresh for the third ODI. I believe that getting someone out for 115 runs is a good effort from our bowlers. Our catching was impressive, but there’s room for improvement in certain areas. Instead of losing five wickets, we could have lost only two and finished the last game. Sanju Samson and Axar Patel are replacing Rohit and Virat,” said Hardik Pandya.

West Indies won the toss and chose to bowl first.
