1. CHRISTOPHER NKUNKU (7.0, sub)
Nku(x2) got 30 minutes in this one (plus another 11 on stoppage time), a slight increase on the 20 (+stoppage and penalty shootout) he got midweek, and he’s already showing more involvement and effectiveness — to the point of actually converting a chance and scoring! Inconceivable!
Nku(x2) came within inches of scoring twice in fact, with his first effort cleared off the line literally in the last second.
But the ancient 26-year-old overcame the debilitating cosmic forces that seem to be acting against us whenever the ball gets into the area and we might have a shot, and got his goal on his Premier League debut. Here’s to many more!
And what a precise finish this was!
2. ĐORĐE PETROVIĆ (6.5)
Not much PetrČechović could do about either goal, and he saved our hide a couple times in there as well, including point blank from, you guessed it, another set piece header.
3. CONOR GALLAGHER (5.6)
When in doubt, vote Conor.
