World Cup 2023: India vs Pakistan now on 14 October, nine matches rescheduled. Check full list

The highly anticipated match between India and Pakistan in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 has been rescheduled, along with eight other matches of the tournament.

The India-Pakistan clash was originally scheduled to take place in Ahmedabad on Sunday, October 15th. However, it has now been moved to the previous day, Saturday, October 14th, at the same venue.

As a result, England’s game against Afghanistan in Delhi will also be rescheduled and played 24 hours later on Sunday, October 15th.

Pakistan’s match against Sri Lanka in Hyderabad has been moved from Thursday, October 12th to Tuesday, October 10th. Additionally, Australia’s big match against South Africa in Lucknow has been pushed back 24 hours and will now take place on Thursday, October 12th instead of Friday, October 13th.

Revised Fixture

New Zealand’s match against Bangladesh, originally scheduled for a day match on October 14th in Chennai, has been moved back to October 13th and will be played as a day-night contest.

During the initial phase of the tournament, there is a minor change to the fixture. The timing of England’s match against Bangladesh in Dharamsala has been changed from a day-night fixture to a day match with a 10:30AM (local time) start.

Towards the end of the league stage, there are three changes with the double-header matches on Sunday, November 12th moving a day earlier to Saturday, November 11th. The matches include Australia vs Pakistan in Pune at 10:30AM and England vs Pakistan in Kolkata at 2:00PM. India’s last league game against the Netherlands has also been shifted from November 11th to November 12th, and will be a day-night clash in Bengaluru.

The World Cup will begin on Thursday, October 5th with a match between 2019 finalists England and New Zealand at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The final match will also take place at the same venue on Sunday, November 19th.
