ININ has recently announced that YSNET’s unique shoot-’em-up game, Air Twister, will no longer be an Apple Arcade exclusive. The game is set to make its debut on consoles and PC on November 10, 2023.

Personally, I’m not much of a mobile gamer, so when I heard about this release, it didn’t immediately catch my attention. Now, let’s take a look at the game itself. There’s a trailer available, but to be honest, I’m not entirely sure what I’m watching. According to the press release, Air Twister follows Princess Arch on a perilous journey to save her planet from certain doom.

The creative genius behind classics like Space Harrier, After Burner, Out Run, and Shenmue is Yu Suzuki. Among these iconic titles, one stands out as a personal favorite of mine, although it may not be the one you’re thinking of.
While there aren’t many reviews available for Air Twister at the moment, the ones I did find were somewhat lukewarm. However, CJ assures me that the game improved significantly after a few updates. I’m willing to give it a try myself once it’s no longer restricted to mobile devices. It looks absolutely insane, like someone threw a bunch of random assets into a blender and hit the “frappe” button. And I love that craziness.
Air Twister will be released on November 10, 2023, for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC. Both PlayStation and Switch platforms will also have a physical release.
