Announcement of LIVE Updates for ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 Schedule Expected Today

The eagerly-awaited schedule for the ICC World Cup 2023, set to be held in India, is expected to be unveiled today. This will mark the first time that India hosts the prestigious ODI World Cup on its own soil.

A media invite, circulating on social media, reveals that the event will be hosted at the Astor Ballroom, St. Regis, in Mumbai’s Lower Parel.

In June, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had already shared a draft schedule with the participating nations, detailing the proposed fixtures and venues for the tournament.

The delay in announcing the ODI World Cup 2023 schedule is attributed to various technical factors, most notably the ongoing India-Pakistan dispute. Uncertainty remains regarding Pakistan’s participation in the cricket world cup. Last month, ICC chairman Greg Barclay and CEO Geoff Allardice traveled to Pakistan to persuade the PCB Chief to send their players to India for the upcoming World Cup.

The ICC kicked off the World Cup trophy tour on Monday, by launching the prestigious trophy to an altitude of 120,000 feet above the Earth before landing it at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This extraordinary feat was accomplished by attaching the trophy to a stratospheric balloon. The governing body of cricket also shared images of the ODI World Cup trophy at the edge of Earth’s atmosphere.

The 2023 Trophy tour will be the largest in history, allowing fans from various cities around the world to connect with the illustrious silverware. The trophy will make stops in 18 countries, including Kuwait, Bahrain, Malaysia, the United States, Nigeria, Uganda, France, Italy, and India.
