Its elevated cab design allows it to ford waters up to a depth of 1.5 meters, and it boasts an impressive range of 1,000 kilometers. Furthermore, by adding an extra fuel tank, the range can be doubled, making the Pinzgauer II one of the most versatile LUVs on this list.
Despite its larger size, the Pinzgauer II can still be transported by Hercules aircraft or Chinook directly to combat zones. Once there, it can fulfill a variety of roles including ambulance, reconnaissance, tactical, and communications duties. Although it can be configured with heavy armor, the Pinzgauer II primarily serves a utilitarian purpose rather than carrying defensive armaments. Nonetheless, in terms of performance, practicality, and aesthetics, this LUV excels.
