Rishabh Pant shares health update on Instagram, hints at swift comeback

Rishabh Pant, the Indian wicketkeeper-batter who was recovering from serious injuries, recently surprised the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) with an update on his health and progress towards returning to the Indian cricket team.

Taking to Instagram, Pant shared a video showcasing his recovery from the injuries and his journey back to the field.

He captioned the post, “Not bad yaar Rishabh ❤️❤️😂. Sometimes even simple things can be difficult 😇.”

In response, Suryakumar Yadav and Aksar Patel replied with emojis.

Pant is progressing faster than expected, and the BCCI is fully committed to expediting his rehabilitation process. Pant has even discarded his crutches and can now walk without them.

According to a report by ESPNcricinfo, the BCCI is aiming to prepare Pant for the ODI World Cup later this year, as reported by HT.

Thulasi Ram Yuvaraj, a physio at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), is overseeing Pant’s recovery after the wicketkeeper-batter was airlifted to Mumbai following a tragic car accident on December 30. Pant is receiving treatment under the guidance of physio S Rajnikanth, who has previously worked with multiple Indian age-group teams.

Pant’s last appearance for India was during the team’s tour of Bangladesh in December.
